This is an unprecedented protocol, because it is the first time that Sporting Swimming has entered into an agreement with another entity independent of the club.
This protocol aims to strengthen the Viver Santarém School of Aquatic Activities and increase the competitive and technical level of our athletes.

The protocol establishes a strategic collaboration between Viver Santarém and Sporting Clube de Portugal, aimed at developing the pure swimming and water polo disciplines.
The main areas of cooperation include:
- Organization of swimming competitions for non-federated athletes;
- Participation of SCP athletes in competitions representing Viver Santarém;
- Internships and joint training sessions between the two organizations;
- Training of coaches, promoting the continuous improvement of our technical team.
This partnership will do much to reinforce Viver Santarém's status as a benchmark in regional sport, benefiting from the support of one of the country's largest sports institutions, with a recognized track record in the development of high-performance athletes.
This partnership will maximize the performance of Viver Santarém athletes, who will now have access to even more developed training conditions designed to optimize their sporting performance.
This protocol not only offers an opportunity to maximize the performance of our athletes, but will also allow our coaches to be better trained, with access to specific training to ensure that our technical team is up-to-date and specialized, using teaching and training methodologies of excellence that are recognized worldwide.
A protocol that will also make it possible to achieve other well-defined objectives such as:
- Improved athlete performance: Joint internships and training sessions will bring an exchange of knowledge and experience that will directly benefit our athletes.
- Increased visibility and local prestige: The organization of sporting events and competitions will strengthen Viver Santarém's presence in the local community, promoting sports among young people.
The protocol is designed to be mutually beneficial, without disproportionate costs or commitments. Each party will assume clear and defined responsibilities:
- Viver Santarém undertakes to make its facilities available and to promote the participation of VS coaches in training programs.
- Sporting Clube de Portugal is committed to making its technical and human resources available for the training and integration of our athletes in competitions.
The protocol will have an initial duration of two years, renewable automatically, which will allow for continuity and consolidation of the results over time.
