Under the Public Buildings Intervention Program (PIEP), part of Component 3 - Social Responses, Investment RE-C03-i02: 360° Accessibility, of the Recovery and Resilience Program (PRR), in the 2021-2025 programming period, two applications submitted by Viver Santarém were approved under Notice No. 4/C03-i02/2023, with a view to installing two lifting platforms in the Pavilion and Municipal Sports Hall.
The installation of these two platforms promotes accessibility for people with limited mobility or difficulty accessing the stands at these sports facilities.
The investment in placing the platform in the Municipal Sports Pavilion was 15,160 euros, of which 13,000 euros were co-financed by PRR funds, through the INR-Acessibilidades 360º program.
The total investment in the Municipal Sports Hall was 15,320 euros, with a 13,000 euro contribution.
The program under which European funds were made possible aims to promote accessibility to public services for people with reduced mobility and this has been a concern of Viver Santarém, both in terms of access to sports and to the most varied facilities where sporting events are held.
