Viver Santarém was present at the São Paulo State Complete Swimmer Championship in Categories, held on May 3, 2026, at the Santarém Aquatic Complex.
The competition featured 132 swimmers (76 male and 56 female), representing 11 clubs, and was held in two sessions.
Viver Santarém was represented by 13 swimmers (8 female and 5 male): Catarina Fragoso, Lara Januário, Madalena Salgado, Maria Amélia Torres, Maria Carolina Fidalgo, Maria Eduarda Parente, Maria Leonor Serôdio and Marta Ferreira, and by the male athletes Francisco Dias, Guilherme Conceição, Guilherme Leitão, Martim Bernardo and Salvador Silva. The team was accompanied by Professor Renato Rodrigues, intern Diogo Dias and delegate Filipe Torres.
During the competition, 67 personal records were broken, demonstrating the consistent progress and hard work done by the swimmers throughout the season.
This competition is characterized by its complete swimmer format, where each athlete performs five events — 200-meter medley, 100-meter butterfly, 100-meter backstroke, 100-meter breaststroke, and 100-meter freestyle — with the final ranking obtained by adding up the points achieved in all events.
In terms of results, special mention goes to Maria Amélia Torres, who became district champion in the Under-12 category, and Catarina Fragoso, who achieved the same feat in the Senior category.
Viver Santarém's participation was marked by good collective performance and the achievement of individual results, reinforcing the continuous work developed in sports training.
